Akirah Simone: Full Circle Bearth Worker

Peace everyone and welcome to this beautiful bearthspace. My name is Akirah Simone. I come from the many wombs of my great grand mother Vera Jones, my grandmother Linda Jones, my bearth mother Kisacha Jones and my mother Denise Crawford. I come from a lineage of prayer warriors and healers from the south by way of Alabama and North Carolina. I give thanks to these wombman and all my benevolent ancestors who support me on this journey. Everything that I am is because of them and so I give thanks. Ase!

I believe that each wombman is born with an innate power that transcends beyond what we can articulate in words. It’s what makes us magical. As a community bearth worker, I am only a shepherd to people as they journey into parenthood and I believe that the experience should be as beautiful and empowering as possible.

I believe that childbearing people are the experts of their own lives and have the right and the freedom to have a bearthing experience that reflects that. I hope to support each person on their unique and individual spiritual journey to parenthood in a way that enables them to realize their deepest strengths. I invite you to tap into your power and believe in your intuition.

I am a proud native of Newark, NJ and was trained as a bearth worker through Ancient Song Doula Services in Brooklyn, NY. I want to give a huge shout out and great appreciation and admiration for all the beautiful black womban elders/teachers/mentors who have centered me in my journey as a bearth worker and healer. There names are as follows Chanel Porchia-Albert, Divine Bailey-Nichols, MJ, Pansay Tao Andrews, Olatokunboh Obasi, Nubia Jones, elder Aloma Asante and each and every person who has poured into me with their wisdom

Outside of my bearth work I am a lifelong student and practitioner of IFA. I enjoy learning about natural ways of healing physically, mentally, spiritually and generationally. I enjoy traveling, cooking delicious plant based recipes and spending time with family and friends.
